One of the challenges of fine photography in Death Valley is in conveying the utter vastness. I’ve visited many times but cannot tell specifically where you stood to take this shot - but the incorporation of the foreground cactus and rocky outcropping accentuates the great depth beyond. Love this image, and the place! L/f

Thanks for your comment Joe. Yes, I agree about trying to capture a feel for Death Valley in a photograph. I got this view from the Hell’s Gate area, looking south toward Badwater.
