This view of Yosemite Valley is from Artist Point. Located along the Old Wawona Road, and near the Tunnel View parking lot. This spot is reported to be where the artist Thomas Ayers created one of the first images of Yosemite Valley in 1855. I've visited this spot twice. Each time I parked at the Tunnel View parking lot and then made the short hike up to Artist Point. While the Tunnel View area was crowded with cars and people, I was the only person at Artist Point. Visually, the only real difference in the two views is Clouds Rest is more visible from Artist Point and Half Dome is less visible at Artist Point.
I love photography! When creating a photograph I'm looking for lines, shapes, colors, positions and relationships amongst all that is before the camera. I also love finding the right blend of light and dark, as well as near and far visual interest for each photograph I make. I've been blessed to live my whole life in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, California. This truly is a magnificent place! As you will discover my photography is a celebration of seeing the beauty and grandeur that surrounds me.
